According to a recent Forbes article, it’s worth noting that while the average credit card debt has dropped since 2010, the number of indebted households jumped 3.5%. Credit card companies only wrote off seriously delinquent accounts, which meant forgiving a hefty sum of debt among a relatively small number of households. As a nation, a greater percentage of us are in debt today than in 2010.
